Program at The Mercantile Library to explore Modernism in Cincinnati Architecture and Interiors

Cincinnati—The Mercantile Library and the Architectural Foundation of Cincinnati are hosting a public program as part of their “What’s up in ARCHITECTURE?” lecture series. The topic, “Modernism in Cincinnati Architecture and Interiors, 1945-1970,” will be addressed by Professor Patrick Snadon and Susan Rissover at the Mercantile Library on Thursday, December 13, 2007, 5:30 p.m.

Patrick Snadon is an Associate Professor, School of Architecture and Interior Design, University of Cincinnati. Professor Snadon will talk about modernism in commercial, public, and sacred buildings and interiors.

Susan Rissover is an Architectural Foundation trustee, cofounder of cf3 (Cincinnati Form Follows Function), and specialist in modernist residential design for Huff Realty. Ms. Rissover will focus on local residential architects and houses.

Light refreshments will be served. The fee is $5 for members, $8 for nonmembers. Please reserve with the Mercantile Library (513) 621-0717. The library is at 414 Walnut Street in downtown Cincinnati.
